How do I arrange a viewing?

Either click on the ‘Request a viewing’ button on our page or you can message David on 07808780881, Melissa on 07986658948 or email info@applehouses.co.uk

How do I sign up for a house?

Once you’ve viewed a house and have decided it will be you next home, you will need to:

1. Sign the contract
2. Pay the deposit of £300
3. Provide details of your Right to Rent (as explained in the contract)
4. Provide the name and email address of your UK based Guarantor

Do I need to be part of a group?

Not at all. We are used to matching individuals and small groups so as to ensure we create happy, harmonious homes.

What information do I need to provide?

We simply need to have evidence of your Right to Rent (UK passport or appropriate Gvt documentation should you not have one) and the details of your UK based Guarantor.

Do I have to pay anything now?

Just your deposit of £300 which you can pay in one or two instalments.

Do I need a Guarantor?

We require a UK based Guarantor from each individual tenant; this needs to be someone financially able to guarantee your rent and other costs incurred should you default.

What if I sign up for a house but change my mind?

The contract is a legally binding process for both parties irrespective of whether you’ve provided a deposit or Guarantor. We are happy to release you from your contract once you have found a suitable replacement who is not already a tenant with Apple Houses.

Is my deposit protected?

Yes. Once we have received all deposits for the joint tenancy, we protect them with www.mydeposits.co.uk

What does the rent include?

Rent includes water, gas, electricity, broadband and TV licenses.

How and when do I get the keys for the house?

Your tenancy starts at midday on the day of the start of your contract and the first person due to arrive at the house needs to arrange collection at least 48 hours before arrival date and time. All other keys will be in each bedroom door for each individual tenant.

What if there’s a problem when I’ve moved into the house?

We will conduct a walk around with the first person to arrive at the house to explain how everything works. Once you're settled into your new home, if you have any maintenance queries, you can simply contact David or Melissa and they will be happy to help. Apple Houses also have a trusted team of plumbers, electricians, and builders to resolve any issues.

What is the process of moving in?

David or Melissa will meet you at the property and show you how everything works as well as inviting you to check you are happy with the appearance of the house. A WhatsApp group will have already been set up for the house and, should anything come to light after moving in, simply report it in the WhatsApp group and David or Melissa will respond promptly.

Do I have to cover a housemate’s rent if they default?

We ask for a Guarantor from each individual tenant so as to avoid this; we do not hold any fellow housemates responsible for paying defaulted rent.
